Description of key information

The weighted partition coefficient of the test item was determined to be 4.49 * 10E4 with a weighted log10 Pow of 4.65 (OECD 117 and EU Method A.8).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
4.65
at the temperature of:
40 °C

Additional information

The n-octanol/water partition coefficient was determined using the HPLC method, designed to be compatible with OECD Guideline 117 and Method A8 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008. Since some components of the test item had a dissociation constant within the environmentally relevant pH range, they were tested in a non-ionised form, and the pH of the mobile phase was adjusted to 3. The overall result was calculated as a weighted partition coefficient as opposed to a range.
