Description of key information
Additional information
Appearance
The substance is an amber-colored viscous liquid with no reported odor at room temperature.
Melting/freezing point
The pour point of the test item has been determined to be 6 ± 3 °C in a test performed according to OECD TG 102 and EC Method A.1.
Boiling point
The test item has been determined to boil over a broad range starting at approximately 156 °C at 101kPa in a test performed according to OECD TG 103 and EC Method A.2.
Relative density
The density of the test item has been determined to be 971 kg/m3 at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C, with a relative density of 0.971 using the pycnometer method
in a test performed according to OECD TG 109 and EC Method A.3.
Granulometry
The test item is a liquid and determination of particle size distribution is not relevant.
Vapour pressure
The vapour pressure was found to be 2.8E-02 Pa at 25 °C, 0.85 Pa at 60 °C, 0.75 Pa at 75 °C and 2.0 Pa at 100 °C in a test performed according to OECD TG 104 and EC Method A.4.
Partition coefficient
The weighted partition coefficient of the test item was determined to be 4.49 x 10E4 with a weighted Log10 Pow of 4.65 using the HPLC method
in a test performed according to OECD TG 117 and EC Method A.8.
Water solubility
The water solubility of the test item has been determined to be 7.55 x 10E-2 g/L of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C in a test performed according to OECD TG 105 and EC Method A.6.
Surface tension
The mean surface tension of solutions prepared at 90% saturated solution of test item in water has been determined to be 46.4mN/m at 21.7 ± 0.5°C using the ring method in a test performed according to OECD TG 115 and EC Method A.5. The test item is considered to be surface active.
Flash point
The flash point of the test item has been determined to be 167 ± 2 °C using an equilibrium closed cup method in a test performed according to EC Method A.9.
Autoflammability / self-ignition temperature
The test item has been determined to have an auto-ignition temperature of 318 ± 5°C in a test performed according to EC Method A.15.
Flammability
A flash point determination has been performed to fulfil the requirement for information on flammability of the substance. Based on experience in use, the substance is not pyrophoric and does not emit flammable gases in contact with water.
Explosive properties
Not explosive based on the chemical structure of the test item
Oxidising properties
Not oxidising based on the chemical structure of the test item
