Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The substance is non-flammable.

Description of key information

Non-flammable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

No studies are available conducted on the substance in itself nevertheless, a study conducted with an analogue molecule (Similar Substance 01) is available and considered for the assessment. The difference between the two molecules is not expected to have any influence on the flammability potential. Further information are reported in the Read Across justification attached to section 13.

The flammability test was carried out according to the Directive 92/69/EEC (OJ L383A) (EU method A.10) and it was negative. The substance is classified as non-flammable.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the CLP regulation (EC 1272/2008) powdered, granular or paste-like substances or mixtures (except powders of metals or metal alloys - see 2.7.2.2) shall be classified as readily combustible solids when the time of burning of one or more of the test runs, performed in accordance with the test method described in Part III, sub-section 33.2.1, of the UN Recommendations of the Transports and Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, is less than 45 seconds or the rate of burning is more than 2,2 mm/s.

Since no combustion was observed during the flammability test period, the substance cannot be classified as flammable according to the CLP classification criteria.
