Description of key information

The vapour pressure of the THPC Urea Amine was studied according to OECD Guideline 104 and UE Method A4, using the loss of weight method (balance method). This method uses a linear regression analysis. Five determinations (range 70 to 80°C) were performed. The value fo the vapour pressure was based on this mean.
The vapour pressure of the registered substance is 1.5 x 10-3 Pa at 25°C. This low vapour pressure as well as the high solubility in water do not support any volatile properties for the reaction product.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.002 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The vapour pressure of THPC Urea Amine at 25°C was extrapolated from the vapour pressure curve and was calculated to be 0.0015 Pa at 25 °C. This low vapour pressure in combination with a high water solubility is an indication of a low potential for volatilisation.
