Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The determination of the density was performed by stereopycnometer method according to EU Method A.3, OECD guideline 109 and GLP. No deviation from the guidelines was observed during the test.

The accuracy of the apparatus was assessed using a reference standard. The apparatus was considered acceptable for use according to the result obtained with the reference standard.

The relative density determined for the test substance is close to the value of an analogue substance. The analogue is "Reaction product of naphthalene, propan-2-ol, sulfonated and neutralized by caustic soda" having a relative density at 20°C of 1.525. The same method was used for the analogue substance and the test substance to determine this parameter . The slight difference between these two values can be explained by the process used to obtained the sample. In one case (for the test item), an aqueous commercial solution was dried to get a sample without water. In the other case, the analogue substance is marketed without water on a solid form. It was not necessary to dried a sample to remove water.
