Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Only one valid ready biodegradability test result foralkyl dipropylene triamines is available because these substances are very toxic to micro-organisms. Nevertheless all aspects important for achieving a ready biodegradability test result i.e. 1) ultimate (complete) biodegradation (demonstrated in (S)CAS tests, through read across with triamine C12 -18 and intermediates) 2) high rates of degradation (through read across with triamine C12 -18) and 3) occurrence of competent micro-organisms in unacclimated ecosystems (through read across with triamine C12 -18) are fulfilled. All (alkyl dipropylene) triamines should therefore be classified as readily biodegradable (Table).
