Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

An acute immobilisation test with Daphnia magna (Noack 2015) was conducted. This study is GLP compliant and follows OECD guideline 202 and EU method C.2. Therefore, it has been assigned a reliability score of 1 (reliable with no restrictions).

The study was conducted under static conditions over a period of 48 hours with 5 concentrations of the test item in the range of 6.25 - 100 mg/L, prepared in a geometric series with a separation factor of 2. Twenty daphnids were exposed to each concentration level and the control. The concentrations of the test item were analytically verified via HPLC-DAD at the start of the exposure (0 hours) and at the end of the exposure (48 hours) in all concentration levels and the control. The measured test item concentrations were within ± 20 % of the nominal concentrations, therefore the effect levels were based on the nominal concentrations of the test item.

The 48 hour-EC50 for Daphnia magna was 39.8 mg/L (95 % confidence limits: 34.7 - 44.1 mg/L). The NOEC after 48 hours was 25.0 mg/L. The LOEC after 48 hours was 50.0 mg/L. The study is considered reliable and relevant for use for this endpoint.
