Description of key information

The auto-ignition temperature of 4-methyl-4-phenylpentan-2-ol was determined to be 420 °C at 1006.5 to 1018.3 hPa..

Additional information

The auto-ignition temperature of the test item was determined according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.15. Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases) and DIN 51794 (2003): Determination of Ignition Temperature.(Smeykal 2015). The study is considered reliable and relevant for use for this endpoint.

According to DIN EN 13463-1 the test item is assigned to temperature class T2 (auto-ignition temperature ≥ 300°C - < 450 °C).
