Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The biodegradability of test substance exposed to activated sludge of a municipal sewage treatment plant was investigated according to the OECD Guidelines 302B "lnherent Biodegradability: Zahn-Wellens / EMPA Test". Based on the data of the individual DOC determinations no significant elimination was observed after 28 days. No significant elimination of the test substance due to adsorption to the activated sludge, on the glass suface or other physico-chemical processes was found as determined by means of DOC measurements 3 h after the start of the test.

No significant biodegradation of the test item based on CO2evolution and calculated as percentage was observed. The extent of mineralization of the procedure control with diethyleneglycol was 94 % based on ThCO2 (Clariant SE, 2002).
