Description of key information

The toxicity of silatrizole on the growth of one monocotyledonous plant species (Avena sativa, oat) and on two dicotyledonous plant species (Brassica rapa, turnip and Lepidium sativum, cress) was investigated in a GLP-compliant 21-day test conducted in accordance with OECD Guideline 208. The test item had no effect on the emergence rate of oat, turnip and cress seeds. Therefore, the 21-day NOEC for emergence was at least 1500 mg/kg dry soil; the 21-day LOEC and LC50 for emergence were higher than 1500 mg/kg dry soil. Besides, the test item had no effect on the growth of plants up to a treatment rate of 1500 mg/kg dry soil. Therefore, the 21-day NOEC for growth was at least 1500 mg/kg dry soil; the 21-day LOEC and LC50 for growth were higher than 1500 mg/kg dry soil.
