Description of key information

The acute toxicity of silatrizole to the earthworm Eisenia fetida was investigated in a GLP-compliant 14-day limit test conducted in accordance with OECD Guideline 207 and Commission Directive 87/302/EEC, L 133 (1988). Silatrizole proved to be non-toxic to the earthworm Eisenia fetida up to and including the test item concentration of 1500 mg/kg dry soil. Based on this, the 14-day LC0 and NOEC are at least 1500 mg/kg dry soil or higher. The 14-day LOEC, LC50 and LC100 could not be determined due to the absence of a toxic effect at the concentration tested. However, these values are clearly higher than 1500 mg/kg dry soil.
