Materials and methods
- GLP compliance:
- no
- Remarks:
- but study conducted in a laboratory holding a current statement of GLP compliance.
- Details on methods and data evaluation:
- The test substance, titanium nitride, was conditioned for 16 hours at 40 °C, with a Nitrogen gas purge, cooled and then run on the Porosimeter.
Full isothermal analysis (porosity) was performed using Barrett-Joyner-Halenda (BJH) method with relative pressure (P/Po) range of 0.05 up to 1.00 followed by desorption back down to a relative pressure of 0.06.
The BET Surface Area was assessed using the relative pressure (P/Po) range of 0.05 up to 0.30 and a minimum of 3 points selected over the range to obtain acceptable correlation coefficients of ≥ 0.9975 and positive intercept.
Duplicated analysis was performed.

- System Suitability
The instrument was checked using carbon black reference standard, Intertek Standard Reference 02593.03.
Specification: 21.52 ± 0.75 m2/g
Result: 21.2728 m2/g
Correlation coefficients of ≥ 0.9975 and positive intercepts were obtained for the carbon black reference standard and duplicated sample analysis.
System suitability has passed.
