Description of key information

EC50 (72h) > 300 mg/L based on nominal rates for growth rate of Desmodesmus subcapitata (OECD 201)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a GLP guideline study following OECD 201 green algae (Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata) were exposed for 72 hours to

the test item [BASF SE, 2013]. Based on the multicomponent mixture test item, the aquatic toxicity on algae was investigated by using water soluble fractions (WSF) at loading rates of 3.0, 30.0 up to a maximum loading rate of 300 mg test item/L. The 72-h EC50 for growth rate inhibition is determined to be >300 mg/L based on nominal loading rates.
