Toxicity to daphnia:

The acute toxicity to invertebrates was determined according to OECD 202 at five loading rates of 1.71, 3.76, 8.26, 18.2 and 40 mg test item/L in order to comply with the requirements of the guideline. A clear loading rate-response relationship was observed. The 48h-EC50value was determined to be 42.6 mg test item/L based on the water soluble fractions (WSF) of the nominal loading rates. No toxicity were observed within the water solubility of the substance (BASF, 2013).

Toxicity to algae:

The purpose of this study according to OECD 201 was to determine the effect of the test item on the growth of the freshwater green alga, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata. A loading rate-response test was performed at five laoding rates of 3.00, 9.49, 30, 94.9 and 300 mg test item/L. A clear loading rate-response relationship was observed.

The 72 -h ErC50 growth rate was estimated to be greater than 300 mg/L and the 72 -hour ErC10 was calculated to be 6.75 mg/L based on loading rates. (BASF, 2013)
