Additional information

No study with quantitative values of short-term toxicity to fish is available for 2-methylquinoline. There is only a indicative data regarding short-term toxicity for fish in salt water. In fact, as reported in ECOTOX with reference to Brown et all, Comp. Biochem Physiol., p.223-231, 1972 LD50 fish salt water for 2-methylquinoline is less than 143 mg/l. This data doesn't allow to assess the aquatic toxicity on fish for the substance but it supports the predicted data by ECOSAR v 1.11

The estimated value of LC50 fish 96h for 2-methylquinoline calculated by ECOSAR V.1.11 is 34.723 mg/l and this data with predicted values of short term toxicity for invertebrates and algae is used for the assessment of aquatic toxicity.
