Description of key information

The QSAR determination of the Henry's Law Constant for 1,3-Dihydro-4(or 5)-methyl-2H-benzimidazole-2-thione (values relate to the 4-position isomers as well as the 5-position isomers) using the model HENRYWIN included in the Estimation Program Interface (EPI) Suite v4.1 revealed a value of 0.0244 Pa*m³/mol at 25 °C for the unaffected molecule of the substance as any decomposition (e.g. hydrolysis) of the substance is not taken into account by the program.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Henry's law constant (H) (in Pa m³/mol):
0.024
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

Read-across appears to be justified as the substance to be registered and the read-across substance are identical in structure. The substance to be registered is the salt of the read across substance.
