Description of key information

The dilithium adipate test item decomposed at temperatures greater than 250°C. Both the dilithium azelate and dilithium sebacate test items were classified as having melting points greater than 400°C. Therefore, melting temperatures could not be established for the test items.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
250 °C

Additional information

All three studies are GLP compliant and follow OECD guideline 102 and EU method A1. Therefore, all three studies were given a reliability rating of 1 (reliable without restrictions). The dilithium adipate test item decomposed at temperatures greater than 250°C. Both the dilithium azelate and dilithium sebacate test items were classified as having melting points greater than 400°C. Therefore, a melting temperature could not be established for the test items. Due to two of the test items having melting temperatures of greater than 400°C and the third decomposing at temperatures greater than 250°C, the key value for the chemical safety assessment for the melting/freezing point at 101 325 Pa is taken as > 250°C.
