Surface tension:
71.6

Additional information

Based on the structure (hydrophilic functional group and long hydrophobic C-chain) surface active properties of this substance are to be expected.

The surface tension of the test item in aqueous solution was determined in a guideline study according to OECD guideline 115 applying the plate method.

The surface tension was determined to be 71.6 ± 0.6 mN/m at 90% of saturation concentration and 20 °C. Due to the very low solubility in water at room temperature the expected surface active properties of the main constituents can not be observed during surface tension measurements.
