First-aid measures

General advice:

Pay attention to self-protection.

Remove victims from hazardous area. Immediately remove soiled or soaked clothing and remove it to a safe distance. Keep victim warm, in a stabilized position and covered.

Do not leave victims unattended.

If the casualty is unconscious: Place the victim in the recovery position.

Inhalation:

Inhalation is possible if aerosols, mists, dusts, or smoke form.

Move victims into fresh air.

With labored breathing: Provide with oxygen. Consult a doctor.

Skin contact:

Wash off with plenty of water and soap.

If symptoms persist, consult a physician for treatment.

Eye contact:

With eye held open, thoroughly rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 10 minutes.

In case of persistent discomfort: Consult an ophthalmologist.

Possible discomfort is due to foreign substance effect.

Ingestion:

Have the mouth rinsed with water.

After absorbing large amounts of substance / In case of discomfort: Supply with medical care.

Notes to physician:

Ingestion: Nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea are possible.

After absorbing large amounts of substance:

administration of activated charcoal.

Acceleration of gastrointestinal passage.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:

The product itself is not flammable; adapt fire-extinguishing measures to surroundings.

Specific hazards during fire fighting:

In specific combustion conditions traces of the following poisonous substances cannot be ruled out:

Carbon monoxide

Carbon dioxide

Hydrocyanic acid

Nitrogen oxides (NOx)

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters:

May be released in case of fire: toxic gases/vapours.

In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Components with workplace control parameters:

If recycling is not practicable, dispose of in compliance with local regulations.

With respect to local regulations, e.g. dispose of to waste incineration plant or dispose of to biological sewage treatment plant (after neutralisation and after sufficient dilution).
