First-aid measures

General advice: Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.

IF INHALED: If breathing is difficult, remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.

IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water. If irritation (redness, rash, blistering) develops, get medical attention.

IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical advice/attention.

IF SWALLOWED: Do not induce vomiting wash out mouth with water. If symptoms occur obtain medical attention.

Symptoms: May cause mechanical irritation of the skin and eyes.

Medical treatment: Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:       Not flammable. In case of fire use extinguishing media appropriate to surrounding conditions.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use water jet. Direct water jet may spread the fire.

Special hazards arising from the substance: None known.

Advice for fire-fighters: Fire fighters should wear complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus. Do not breathe fumes. Keep containers cool by spraying with water if exposed to fire.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing vapours. Keep upwind. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.  Wear suitable protective clothing.

Environmental precautions: Avoid release to the environment. Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or watercourses.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Stop leak if safe to do so. Cover spills with inert absorbent material. Transfer to a lidded container for disposal or recovery.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: Good hygiene practices and housekeeping measures. Do not eat, drink or smoke during work. Avoid breathing dust. Contaminated clothing should be thoroughly cleaned.

Conditions for safe storage: Keep container tightly closed and in a well-ventilated place. Keep away from fire, sparks and heated surfaces - no smoking.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Respiratory protection: Not required. In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection.
