Description of key information

In accordance with Section 3 of Annex XI of the REACH regulation, the registrant proposes to waive the simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water as required in Section 9.2.1.2. of Annex IX based on exposure scenarios developed in the chemical safety report. The results of the chemical safety assessment indicate that there is no need to investigate further effects on the aquatic environment as there is no release to the environment; as such, comparison of the derived PNEC with the results of the exposure assessment yield a risk characterisation ratio well below a value of 1.
In accordance with Section 9.2.1.4. of Column 2 of Annex IX of the REACH regulation, the registrant proposes to waive the sediment simulation testing (for substances with a high potential for adsorption to sediment) as the substance is not considered to have the potential to be either directly or indirectly released to sediment.
