Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The toxicity of Amides, C18, branched and linear to Pseudokirchnerella subcapitatawas tested according to OECD guideline 201 (Vryenhoef, 2015). The algae were exposed to nominal test substance concentrations of 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50 and 100% v/v saturated solution (nominal, filtered). At the start of the test all control and test cultures were observed to be clear colourless solutions. After the 72-Hour test period all control and test cultures were observed to be green dispersions. However, adverse effects on the algal growth rate were not observed. The determined EC50 was > 100 mg/L (nominal) based on the growth rate.

Based on the results Amides, C18, branched and linear is considered not toxic to aquatic algae within the limit of water solubility (WS: 0.019 mg/L).
