Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.17 (Oxidising Properties (Solids))
Deviations:
yes
Remarks:
( remark: see below)
Principles of method if other than guideline:
With the exception of the following deviations, the experimental procedure
used complies with that specified in Method A17.
1) Testing was carried out using test material in its commercial form since
on sieving the test material would produce hazardous amounts of
uncontrollable dust.
2) Further testing was carried out on the two highest burning rate mixtures
and not three as prescribed since in the initial test only two of the test
material mixtures with cellulose propagated combustion over the full 200
mm of the test.

These deviations have been considered not to have affected the integrity of the study.
GLP compliance:
yes
