Administrative data
First-aid measures
General first aid measures.
If inhaled: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm.
In case of skin contact: In case of contact with skin, clean with soap and water.
In case of eye contact: Rinse the affected eye with plenty of water, at the same time keep the unaffected eye well protected.
If swallowed: If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.
Risks: No particular hazards known.
Fire-fighting measures
The substance itself is not classified as flamable. Adjust fire fighting measures to the surrounding.
Possibility of dust explosion. Avoid raising dust.
Suitable extinguishing media: alcohol-resistant foam, Dry powder, Water spray jet
Unsuitable extinguishing media: High volume water jet, high pressure Carbon dioxide (CO2)
In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Under certain conditions of combustion traces of other toxic substances cannot be excluded
Do not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases. Use self-contained breathing apparatus
Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.
Accidental release measures
Use personal protective clothing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Do not allow entry to drains,water courses or soil. Contain contaminated water/firefighting water.
Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly, observing environmental regulations. Use mechanical handling equipment.
Avoid raising of dust. Contain spillage, and then collect with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing and
place in container for disposal according to local regulations.
Handling and storage
Avoid contact of the substance.
Provide good ventilation of working area. Avoid the formation and deposition of dust. Provide exhaust ventilation if dust is formed.
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
In principle, with organic products which are -intentionally or unintentionally- in powdered form, the danger of a dust explosion
should be kept in mind. Take precautionary measures against electrostatic charges - earthing necessary during loading operations.
Comply with good practise in industrial fireprotection.
Keep away from food and drink. Do not eat, drink or smoke during work time. Clean hands and face during work intervals and after work.
Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again. Garments that cannot be cleaned must be destroyed (burnt).
Keep container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place. Protect from heat and direct sunlight. Do not store or transport together with foodstuffs.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Because it is not throughout tested, the product should be used and worked up in closed equipment as far as possible.
Do not inhale dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Eye protection: Safety glasses with side-shields conforming to EN166
Hand protection: Choose gloves to protect hands against chemicals depending on the concentration and quantity of the hazardous substance and specific to place of work. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it. Take note of the information given by the producer concerning permeability and break through times, and of special workplace conditions (mechanical strain, duration of contact).
Suitable: Nitrile rubber gloves, Butyl rubber gloves.
With solid dry substances permeation is not to be expected. Gloves must be inspected prior to use. Gloves should be discarded and replaced if there is any indication of degradation or chemical breakthrough. Gloves must be rinsed thoroughly after use.
Skin and body protection: Choose body protection in relation to its type, to the concen-tration and amount of dangerous substances, and to the
specific workplace, e.g. apron, boots, protective suit (EN 14605, EN ISO 13982-1, EN 13034).
Respiratory protection: No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required. In case of dust formation, use a fine dust face mask, e.g.
half mask with a particle filter P2 (EN 143).
Stability and reactivity
The substance is stable under normal conditions of use.
When handled and stored appropriately no dangerous reactions are known.
The possibility of dust explosions should be considered. Avoid heat, flames and sparks.
Disposal considerations
Special waste incineration plant, after consultation with operators. Observe local authority regulations.
Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste.
