Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Major components ranging between 4.16 and 4.83 (literature and QSAR).
Potential concern for classification in aquatic chronic toxicity hazard class (log Kow > 4) and potentially Bioaccumulative in a PBT context.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No study was conducted on the oil itself.

In a Weight of Evidence approach, literature provided data for four of the six major components:

- alpha-pinene, log Kow ca 4.83,

- beta-pinene, log Kow ca 4.16,

- limonene log Kow ca 4.57,

- beta-myrcene, log Kow ca 4.33.

For the other two, no literature data was available, so the dataset was completed with a valid QSAR estimation:

- delta-3-carene, log Kow ca 4.78,

- beta-phellandrene log Kow ca 4.58.

As no CSA is required for the tonnage band of concern, no key value was retained (nor calculated weighted value nor worst-case). However, for Classification purpose, the worst case is considered (log Kow > 4).
