Additional information

A study was performed to determine self ignition temperature of test substance according to EU Method A.16.in compliance with GLP.

Eight cm³ (9.95 g) of the test substance were placed in an oven at 22 °C. The temperature/time curve relating to conditions in the center of the sample is recorded while the temperature of the oven is increased to 400 °C at a rate of 0.5 °C /min.

An exothermal reaction of the test substance occurred at a temperature of 240 °C and lead to a temperature rise of up to 378 °C.

At an oven temperature of 397 °C the test substance exceeded that of the oven (405 °C).
