Description of key information

After evaporation or exposure to the air, 1,4-bis[(ethenyloxy)methyl]cyclohexane will be rapidly degraded by photochemical processes with OH-radicals.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Based on the calculation according to SRC AOP v1.92, 1,4-bis[(ethenyloxy)methyl]cyclohexane is indirectly photodegraded by reaction with hydroxyl radicals in the atmosphere with a half-life (t1/2) of about 2 hours taking into account a 24-h day and a mean OH radical concentration of 5.0E+05 molecules per cm³ (BASF 2008).
