Melting temperature       

No melting temperature was found between 0 °C and decomposition of the test item, starting at about 300 °C.

The estimated accuracy is ± 1 °C.

Observed thermic processes

An endothermic peak was observed at about 150 °C (peak temperature, Test 1 and 2, 151 heating). This is interpreted as loss of volatile components, followed by another endothermic peak starting at about 300 °C (onset temperature, Test 1 and 2, 151 heating).

After Test 1 up to 400 °C, the test item was not molten, it was as powdery as before and showed a weight loss of 10.4 %. The color

was changed to light brown beige. This was interpreted as a reaction. In Test 2 up to 500 °C, the test item showed the beginning of another endothermic peak starting at about 460 °C. After Test 2 the test item was not molten, the color was changed to black and a weight loss of 41.4 % was registered. This is a clear indication of the decomposition of the test item.

All these observations are confirmed by the preliminary TG/DTATest (non-GLP).
