First-aid measures

General information:
As a general rule, in case of doubt or if symptoms persist or you feel unwell, immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

In case of inhalation:
If difficulties occur after dust has been inhaled, remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable and well-ventilated for breathing. Seek immediate medical attention.

In case of skin contact:
In case of serious skin contact:
Wash immediately with plenty of water. Gently and thoroughly wash the contaminated skin with running water and non-abrasive soap. Be particularly careful to clean folds, crevices, creases and groin. Cover the irritated skin with an emollient. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Wash with a disinfectant soap and cover the contaminated skin with an antibacterial cream. Seek immediate medical attention.

In case of eye contact:
Check and remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Do not use an eye ointment. Immediately wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open. Consult an eye specialist.

In case of ingestion:
Rinse mouth immediately and then drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting. Examine the lips and mouth to ascertain whether the tissues are damaged, a possible indication that the toxic material was ingested; the absence of such signs, however, is not conclusive. Seek medical attention immediately.

In case of body contact:
Remove contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated clothing before reusing.

Self-protection of the firstaiders:
No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training.

Notes to physician:
Treat according to symptoms (decontamination, vital functions), no known specific antidote.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:
No specific information.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed:
No specific information.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media:
Water spray, dry extinguishing media, foam, carbon dioxide

Extinguishing media advised against
No specific information.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Harmful vapours. Evolution of fumes/fog. The substance can be released in case of fire. Fire or excessive heat may produce hazardous decomposition products. Products of combustion: Carbon oxides (CO, CO2) and nitrogen oxides (NO, NO2…). Hydrogen chloride gas will also be presented.

Advice for fire-fighters:
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing.

Other information:
The degree of risk is governed by the burning substance and the fire conditions.
Contaminated extinguishing

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Evacuate surrounding areas. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not ingest or inhale. Avoid dust formation. Use personal protective clothing.

Environmental precautions:
Contain contaminated water/fire-fighting water. Do not discharge into
drains/surface waters/groundwater.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
a) Small spill:
Take up mechanically and collect in suitable container for disposal. Avoid raising dust. Use appropriate tools to put the spilled solid in a convenient waste disposal container. Finish cleaning by spreading water on the contaminated surface and dispose of according to local and regional authority requirements.

b) Large spill:
Use a shovel to put the materiel into a convenient waste disposal container. Finish cleaning by spreading water on the

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: As a general rule,
- not to eat, drink and smoke in work areas
- to wash hands after use and
- to remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.
Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Empty containers pose a fire risk, evaporate the residue under a fume hood. Ground all equipment containing material. Do not ingest. Do not breathe dust. Breathing must be protected when large quantities are decanted without local exhaust ventilation. Wear suitable protective clothing. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. If ingested, seek medical advice immediately and show the container or the label. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Protection against fire and explosion:
Avoid dust formation. Take precautionary measures against static discharges.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Keep container tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place when not in use and during transport. Combustible material should be stored away from extreme heat and strong oxidizing agents.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Control parameters :
Exposure limit: no value determined
DNEL/PNEC: not available

Exposure controls
Appropriate engineering controls:
Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep airborne levels below recommended exposure limits. If user operations generate fume, dust or mist, use ventilation to keep exposure to airborne contaminants below the exposure limits.

Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment
Hygiene measures:
Wash hands, forearms and face thoroughly after handling chemical products, before eating, smoking and using the lavatory and at the end of the working period. Appropriate techniques should be used to remove potentially contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated clothing before reusing. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety
showers are closed to the workstation location. Do not eat, drink or smoke while working. Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and food. During synthesis or formulation, follow good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Due to the colouring properties of the product closed work clothes should be used, to avoid stains during manipulation.

Respiratory protection:
Suitable respiratory protection for higher concentrations or long-term effect: Particle filter EN 143 Type P2, medium efficiency (solid and liquid particles of harmful substances), e.g. Dust respirator. Be sure to use an approved/certified respirator or equivalent. A self-contained breathing apparatus in case of large spill should be used to avoid inhalation of the product.

Hand protection:
Protective gloves should be worn at all times when handling chemical products. Suitable protective gloves recommended, e.g. glove material: nitrile rubber (NBR).

Eye protection:
Personal protection splash goggles and face shield complying with an approved standard should be used to avoid exposure.

Skin protection:
Personnel should wear work clothes and closed shoes.

Body protection:
Protective clothing. In case of large spill, suggested protective clothing may not be sufficient, consult a specialist before handling this product.

Environmental exposure control:
No specific information.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: No specific information.

Chemical stability:
This substance is stable. Thermal decomposition: > 270 degree C

Possibility of hazardous reactions:
In spite of the dedusting carried out for reasons of industrial health a dust explosion hazard can not be excluded.

Conditions to avoid:
Dust formation.

Incompatible materials:
Strong oxidizers.
Hazardous decomposition products:
Combustion will produce carbon dioxide and probably carbon monoxide. Hydrogen chloride gas will also be presented.

Hazardous Polymerisation:
Will not occur.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods: The generation of waste should be avoided or minimised wherever possible. Disposal of this product, solutions and any by-products must be disposed of or incinerated in accordance with local/regional regulations.

Waste from residues/ unused products:
Residual chemical should be disposed of by incineration or by other modes or disposal in compliance with local/regional regulations.

Contaminated packaging:
Uncontaminated packs can be re-used. Packs that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of in the same manner as the contents.

Hazardous waste:
