Description of key information

In contact with water the substance will hydrolyze slowly.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The hydrolytical stability of an analogous compound was assessed in a study following OECD guideline 111 (BASF 2013). No hydrolysis was observed at pH 4 and pH 7 at a temperature of 50 °C. At pH 9 a decrease of test substance was observed. However, the degradation reaction measured in buffer pH 9 were no first or pseudo-first order. Therefore, kobs and half lives could not be calculated. As the UV signals in the test solutions could not significantly be correlated to hydrolysis- or other degradation products, it should be considered whether the decreasing signals of the test item in the pH 9 test solutions could also (at least partially) be caused by precipitation during the tests due to lower solubility in water at pH 9. A detailed read across justification is attached to the endpoint study record.
