Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Melting / freezing point
Melting / freezing pt.:
> 170 °C
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
ca. 170 °C

Any other information on results incl. tables

In the duplicate definitive determinations, the samples were observed to darken from approximately 170 deg C. At this temperature, the samples changed from a white to an off-white powder, with browning at the surface. These observations were indicative of decomposition. When taken beyond this temperature in the initial estimation, the sample formed a brown melt at approximately 210 deg C.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The melting point could not be determined because the test substance decomposed at temperatures above 170 deg C before melting.
