Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Auto-ignition temperature reported from a GLP guideline study: 260°C, as liquid melted substance (Ciric, 2015)

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
260 °C

Additional information

For the determination of the auto-flammability of Tetradecylamine, one data from a GLP guideline study is reported (Ciric, 2014).

The auto-ignition temperature of liquid melted Tetradecylamine was determined to be 260°C at 992.9 – 1015.0 hPa in a GLP-compliant study conducted in accordance with EU Method A.15, DIN Guide 51794 and IEC Standard 79-4. This value is considered reliable without restriction (Klimisch 1) and is used as key value for the assessment. The self-ignition temperature of Tetradecylamine could not technically be determined due to its melting point < 160°C.
