Additional information

The toxicity test to aquatic algae (key_Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria_2014_RL1) performed according to OECD 201 (2011) and GLP was rated with RL=1 (reliable without restrictions) and used as key study. The influence of the test item on the growth of the freshwater green algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was assessed in a static dose response test.

The results indicate that the test item inhibits the growth of the freshwater green alga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata after 72 hours with the following effect values (based on nominal concentrations):

The EC50-values for inhibition of growth rate (ErC50) and yield (EyC50) after 72 hours were 29.3 mg/L and 17.0 mg/L, respectively.

The EC10-values for inhibition of growth rate (ErC10) and yield (EyC10) after 72 hours were 16.5 mg/L and 11.8 mg/L, respectively.

The NOEC-values for inhibition of growth rate and yield after 72 hours were for both 6.40 mg/L, respectively.
