The coefficient of correlation (r) of the log p versus 1/T curve for the test substance in the range of 210°C and 240°C was < 0.99. It indicated that the weight loss was obtained due to reaction and/or decomposition of the test substance, which was also observed by discoloration of the test substance from white to brown/yellow.

The test substance weight losses at 210°C, 220°C, 230°C and 240°C were lower than the weight losses of benzo(ghi)perylene at the same temperatures. From this it was concluded that the vapour pressure of the substance is lower than the vapour pressure of benzo(ghi)perylene.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
In a GLP-compliant study in accordance with EC A.4, OECD 104 and EPA OPPTS 830.7950 using the isothermal thermogravimetric effusion method, the vapour pressure of the substance at 25°C has been determined as < 2.9E-08 Pa (< 1.3E-08 Pa at 20°C).
