Description of key information

The short term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates of the test substance, TM 12-209, was assessed according to OECD Test Guideline 202. Daphnids (20/concentration, 4 replicates of 5 animals) were exposed to an aqueous solution of the test item at normal concentrations of 10, 18, 32, 56 or 100% v/v saturated solution for 48 hrs at 20°C (approximately) under static test conditions. The measured concentrations at 0 hrs were 5.78, 10.3, 18.9, 34.5, 62.7 mg/L, respectively. Analysis of the prepared test solution at 0 hrs and 48 hrs showed no significant change in the measured concentrations. So the results are based on 0-hr measured test concentrations only. The 48 h EC50 was 13 mg/L with 95% confidence limits of 11 - 14 mg/L.
