1 alpha-Methyl-4-androstene-3,17-dione can be considered to be hydrolytically stable at pH 4, 7 and 9 at 25 °C.

Additional information

1 alpha-Methyl-4-androstene-3,17-dione does not contain functional groups which are susceptible to hydrolytic degradation. Hydrolytic stability is thus to be expected. This notion is experimentally supported by the results of a hydrolysis study with Androst-4-ene-3,17-dione which is structurally similar to the test substance. Androst-4 -ene-3,17-dione was found to be hydrolytically stable in the pH region 4-9 and 25 °C.
