Description of key information

The water solubility of the test item could not be determined due to its ability to readily disperse and the inability of cleanup to remove the excess.
The water solubility is estimated to be in the range 1.7E-03 to 1.07E-02 g/L by visual inspection. Computer estimation gave a result of 4.97E-06 g/L using a MW = 1433 and 1.43E-09 g/L with a MW of 1418. The substance is predicted to be insoluble in water.

The determination of water solubility was carried out using the flask method, designed to be compatible with EC Method A6 and OECD TG 105. The water solubility of the test item as a single, specific value at 20.0 ± 0.5 ºC could not be determined due to its ability to readily disperse and in addition cleanup could not remove the excess. The mean concentration of the test item that remained dispersed after centrifugation of the test solutions was determined to be 0.0898 g/L at a nominal loading rate of 0.1 g/L and 1.05 g/L at a nominal loading rate of 1.0 g/L.

In a supporting study using visual inspection based on OECD Guideline 105 and computer estimation the water solubility is estimated to be in the range 1.7E-03 to 1.07E-02 g/L by visual inspection.
