Description of key information
FAT 20077/D TE is a dark blue granulate, solid at 20 °C. When tested according to OECD Guideline 102 for melting point and OECD Guideline 103 for boiling point determination, the test substance did not melt or boil until 350 °C. But at about 240 °C, the test substance begins to decompose. The average relative density of at 20 °C was found to be 1.3618 g/cm³. The median particle size (L50) was 83.555 µm, whereas L10 and L90 were 9.419 µm and 397.336 µm respectively. MMAD was defined to be 83.55 µm. The partition coefficient n-octanol/water at 20 °C was determined as: Pow = 1027 and log Pow = 3.01. The water solubility at 20 °C was determined to be 0.70 g/l. The surface tension was determined to be 50.534 mN/m at 20 °C.
No auto-ignition was observed up to 550 °C. The test substance should be considered as not highly flammable and is considered to be non-explosive based on an expert statement. The substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials on the basis of its chemical structure, hence it is considered to be not oxidising.
