Description of key information

By experiment it was found that the column elution method is not suitable for the determination of the water solubility of the substance. Therefore the flask method (according to EC A.6 and OECD TG 105) was performed in compliance with GLP. The analysis were based on the response (peak area) of the major constituent. Substance concentrations of 14.7, 8.21 and 12.2 mg/L were analysed after stirring periods of 24, 48 and 72 h, resp. It should be noted that the EC A.6 method is intended for pure substances that are stable in water. Because the substance is a multi-constituent it cannot be excluded that other components in the substance have affected the water solubility. It might explain the relatively large variation between the results obtained after the different stirring periods. The obtained value for the water solubility should be interpreted as an estimated value. The water solubility of FRET 09-0536 was calculated from the 24 h and 72 h measurements to be13 mg/L @ 20°C.
