Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a static acute toxicity test performed in accordance with OECD TG 202 using daphnia magna, the 48-h EC50 was 0.58 mg/L based on nominal concentrations. This is higher than the water solubility of the substance.

Additional information

In a static 48-hour acute immobilisation study performed in accordance with OECD TG 202 and US OPPTS 8500.1010 Daphnia magna (20 Daphnia per dose) were exposed to the substance, dissolved in DMF, at nominal concentrations of 0.38, 0.75, 1.5, 3.0, 6.0 and 12 mg/L. The dose concentrations were chosen based on the results of a range-finding study. A blank control and a solvent control were run in conjunction with the final test. The study met the acceptability criteria and was considered valid.

Based on nominal test concentrations the EC50 (48 h) = 0.58 mg/L (95% confidence limits of 0.38 - 0.75 mg/L). The NOEC (48 h) based on mortality and immobility observed in the 0.75 mg/L treatment group was considered to be 0.38 mg/L.
