ca. 7.11
Remarks on result:
other: pH mother solution = 6.01; pH saturated solution = 7.11

Preliminary solubility result:

The reference sample and extract were first measured in the range 190 - 800 nm, to choose the right wavelength for quantitative measurements. The substance showed absorption only in the UV region. This was due to the presence of a water-soluble component, which differed from the main product.

Test results:

Considering that the test substance was not completely soluble in the reference solution, and that the absorbance of the test solution was below the limit of sensitivity of the instrument in the visible region, an approximate solubility value was determined only.

Approximately solubility

<< 0.02 g/l

pH of mother solution

6.01

pH of saturated solution

7.11

Conclusions:
The substance is slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)
The water solubility of the test substance is << 0.02 g/l at 20 °C.
Executive summary:

The substance was tested for water solubility according to OECD guideline 105: Water solubility. The water solubility of the test substance is <<0.02 g/l at 20 °C.

Description of key information

<< 0.02 g/l

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.02 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The water solubility of the substance is << 0.02 g/l as determined by the shake flask method at 20 °C and pH 7.11.
