Additional information

The purpose of this study was to determine the color, physical state, and odor of the test substance, Butyl Phosphorothioic Triamide (NBPT). The study was conducted as described in ABC protocol, "Determination of Color, Physical State, and Odor for Butyl Phosphorothioic Triamide (NBPT)", which was patterned after the U.S. EPA Product Properties Test Guidelines OPPTS 830.6302, 830.6303, and 830.6303 (3, 4, 5). The study was conducted in compliance with the GLP standards of the U.S. EPA and OECD.

The physical state of Butyl Phosphorothioic Triamide (NBPT) was determined to be a solid at 21.3°C. The odor of Butyl Phosphorothioic Triamide (NBPT) was characterized as "garlic-like" or "burned rubber" at 21.2°C. The color of Butyl Phosphorothioic Triamide (NBPT) was determined to have a value of N 9.38 and a percent reflectance of 87.1%R at 19.1°C. There were no known circumstances that may have adversely affected the quality or integrity of the data.
