Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to Annex XI of Regulation 1907/2006, testing for a specific endpoint may be omitted if testing does not appear to be scientifically necessary or if it is technically not possible to conduct the study as a consequence of the properties of the substance. Under REACH (ECHA 2017, Chapter R.7B – Endpoint Specific Guidance), the term ‘Hydrolysis’ refers to the “Decomposition or degradation of a chemical by reaction with water”, and this as a function of pH (i.e., abiotic degradation). In the case of the current substance, the chemical safety assessment will be based on elemental metal concentrations. For indicative behaviour in water - see IUCLID section 4.8 or CSR Section 1.3.
