Description of key information

Chlorine is a gas at room temperature. It has a greenish-yellow colour and a characteristic stringent odour. Chlorine occurs as a double atomic molecule - Cl2. It is 2,5 times heavier than air, In nature, chlorine occurs in its anionic form - Cl-.
