The general trend seen in the three publications is that the boiling point increases as the acid strength increases to a maximum at around 97 -98%. As the acid strength continues to rise to 100%, the boiling point value slowly falls.

Largely differing values for the boiling point are presented for a 98% solution of sulfuric acid. However, the graph presented in the handbook titled 'The manufacture of Sulfuric Acid' supports the OECD value of 310 -335 °C.
