Description of key information

No toxic effects on fish up to the limit of water solubility

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of 1,2,3-propanetriyl triisooctadecanoate (CAS 26942-95-0) was tested in a limit test following OECD guideline 203 (Bogers, 1996). The test solution with a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L was prepared using Tween 80 as solubilizer. The test fish (Cyprinus carpio) were exposed to the test substance for 96 hours. During the test period no mortality or effects of intoxication were observed and a LC50 (96 h) > 100 mg/L was determined at test termination. Thus, no toxicological effects on fish are expected up to the limit of water solubility for 1,2,3-propanetriyl triisooctadecanoate (CAS 26942-95-0).
