Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The CRC Handbook (Lide 2008) is a peer reviewed handbook and so can be considered reliable and suitable for use as the key study for this endpoint.

This is supported by the reported viscosity range of 0.6468 to 0.654 mPa.s at 20°C for benzene in the IUCLID 4 dataset. Although the introduction to the IUCLID dataset states that the European Commission have not evaluated the data, the data have been provided by companies as part of regulatory submissions and therefore it is expected that the studies were considered by the original data owners to be reliable. As the original sources have not been reviewed, the data have been assigned a Klimisch score of 4 but are included here to provide additional supporting evidence for this endpoint.
