Description of key information

The flash point was determined using a closed cup equilibrium method, Method A9 of Commission Directive 92/69/EEC (which constitutes Annex V of Council Directive 67/548/EEC).
The flashpoints of the different types of Lanolin alcohols determined at 101,325 kPa were 250 °C (Super Hartolan), 238 °C (New Zealand Hartolan) and 246 °C (Argowax DCS).

Additional information

The flash point was determined using a closed cup equilibrium method, Method A9 of Commission Directive 92/69/EEC (which constitutes Annex V of Council Directive 67/548/EEC).

The report summarises the flash points of different types of Lanolin alcohols as listed below:

Material                                               Code                   Batch Number     Flash Point (°C)

SUPER HARTOLAN                         LD04817                      195621                    250

NEW ZEALAND HARTOLAN            LD02853                      415309                    238

ARGOWAX DCS                             LD08599                      229305                   246

The values vary which is typical of UVCB substances.
