Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
fish early-life stage toxicity
Type of information:
(Q)SAR
Adequacy of study:
weight of evidence
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other:
Remarks:
Result derived from a (Q)SAR model with no adequate performance in internal validation. The main constituents of the substance, representing ca. 95% (w/w) of the composition, are compliant with the applicability domain of the model, and for the remaining minor ones an extrapolation is used. The reliability and adequacy of the result is supported by good predictions obtained for similar substances from the model training set. Thus the target prediction is in line with experimental data of the most similar substances and therefore the prediction is considered valid.

Description of key information

EC10 (28 d): 0.251 mg/L (C/EO QSAR mass based toxic unit additivity)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Studies on the chronic toxicity of the 'linear' subgroup of the AE category are currently ongoing. Therefore, the endpoint of chronic toxicity to fish will be re-evaluated as soon as all experimental data are available.

The effect concentrations used for the assessment of the chronic toxicity to fish were derived by AE substance specific QSAR calculations. The model was developed based onliterature data (Wind & Belanger, 2006; Boeije et al., 2006; Belanger et al, 2006).

For the assessment of chronic toxicity of the target substance to fish an EC10 (28 d) of 0.251 mg/L was predicted.
