Description of key information

Waiving of study:
In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, a Adsoprtions-/Desporptions-Screening test (required in section 9.3.1) does not need to be conducted because based on the physicochemical properties tetrahydromethylphthalic anhydride (MTHPA) can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption (the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient of 2.38-2.51 as calcualted by EPIWIN). In addition, the substance is not hydrolytically stable.
